His Eminence Archbishop of Sebastia, Theodosios (in the world Nizar Hanna) was born in the village of Rame of Western Galilee in 1965. In 1984 he went to Thessaloniki where he completed his studies at the Theological School in 1990. In 1991 he took over by Patriarchal Order, the duties of Secretary at the High Secretariat and Teacher at the School of Remli.

In 1991 he was tonsured Monk receiving the name Theodosios, he was nominated member of the Hagiographic Brotherhood (Brotherhood of

the Holy Sepulchre) and was then anointed Deacon. In 1992 he was anointed Priest, receiving in a few days, the office of the Archmandrite.

During the same year he was appointed Vice-Director and Teacher of the Patriarchal School of Saint Demetrios, Secretary of the Arabic Department of the Patriarchal Offices and Pedagogic Professor at the University of Haifa. Since 1996 he is a member of the School Committee for the publication of religious books for the community Schools of Israel and of the Palestinian Autonomy. He served as Supervisor of the Cathedral of Saint James and member of the Printing Office of the Patriarchate.

He also served in charge of the Orthodox Religious Program of the Palestinian Radio Service. He took part in many official Patriarchal missions such as at the Doha of Qatar Summit Conference of Muslim Countries and in Conferences on the Palestinian question. He received many honorary distinctions from Arab States and is a member of many dialogue commissions between Christians and Muslims and numerous local Associations and Committees. He was elected Archbishop of Sebastia on 18/11/2005 and was anointed on 11/12/2005 at the Most Holy Church of the Resurrection.

In May 2006 he accompanied His Beatitude in His visit of peace to Constantinople.
