His Eminence Archbishop of Jordan, Theophylactos (in the world Theodosios Georgiadis) was born in Haravgi at Kozani in 1951 having received his ecclesiastic education at the Ecclesiastic School of Xanthi.
He arrived in Jerusalem in 1972 and was accepted as Secretary of the Patriarchal Office. He was tonsured Monk on 16-02-1973 and was named Theophylactos and three days later he was ordained Deacon.
After three years service as assistant to the Youth Overseer  at the Patriarchal School, he was appointed Secretary of the Estate Council.
He was anointed Priest on September of 1977 and took over the abbacy of the Holy Monastery of Saint Symeon at Kata Monastery, from where he departed for studies at the Theological Academy of Petroupolis. During the visit there of the ever memorable Patriarch of Jerusalem Diodoros in 1981 he was elevated to Archimandrite.
Following completion of his studies, he served at the Holy Monastery of Bethlehem (1984) in the position of Secretary of the Economic Council (1985) and Abbot of the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross (1986). In 1989 he was appointed Patriarchal Commissioner to Moscow.
On his return to Jerusalem in 2001 he was appointed Member of the Holy and Sacred Synod and Elder Sacristan. In 2003 having left the position of Sacristan he was appointed Abbot of the Holy Monastery of the Saint Theodors and Officiating Priest of the Patriarchal Church of Saints Constantine and Helen.
In 18-11-2005 he was elected Archbishop of Jordan and was appointed Patriarchal Commissioner to Bethlehem. The anointing was performed on 04-12-2005 at the Most Holy Church of the Resurrection.
